How Drugs Effect the Community of Chicago

Did you know that there have been over 700 drug related homicides within the past 11 months? You must think all over the world, if so. You'd be more than wrong. Those cases were filed right in your area. The city of Chicago is home to a lots of things but is also one of the most brutal areas thanks to gang violence and drug trafficking. This time we'll be focusing on drugs and how it impacts society.

There are many cases where drugs have corrupted families and peoples lives. Drugs like heroin and cocaine aren't only damaging to you physically, it can impact people around you as well. Like those who care about you, do you think they would want you to do those things? They can also effect you emotionally as some drugs kill brain cells and shut down certain areas of your body which can take part of internal damage and will make you crazy. These drugs are dangerous and are very addictive, some ex addicts say "once you get the taste for it, you just want more and more." So addiction is a serious problem that is treated by doctors as a disease.

One ex-drug dealer says he's pro for drugs as the state can legalize it and tax it to make city payment highly increased, this can also save money for states that pay millions to prevent production illegally. So he says it'll be beneficial for society to promote drugs. Is it really beneficial though?

Another person says it's definitely something that should be stopped as it assists deaths and gang violence thrive in the city. Although drugs are meant to be life saving medication, all through the country. People exploit this and make it illegally for people who decide to buy unmediated products for consumption. They also said that its the governments job to crack down on drug trafficking and production lines to prevent the products to impact people.

A medicine expert would say that drugs are like a double edges sword. The medications can save lives and help prevent sicknesses to those who the drugs are medicated to, but the products can easily be reversed to something that doesn't help but negatively impacts people with a risk of an overdose or even a reaction that has a chance to kill the consumer if the drugs weren't medicated to them.

My dank name

My name is Ernesto and my middle name is Vince. My family comes from many origins but mostly of mexican descent. My moms side of the family is Native American and European but my dads side of the family is mexican and Native American/Mexican but there's also a possibility that Caribbean can be mixed in with it. My first name was passed to me down the line of many Ernesto's and Vince's in my families history. I received "Ernesto" from my dad, who got that from his grandpa, who was named by my great great grandpa vince. My name holds a lot of history which I love, but I don't exactly like my family nick name which is vinny from my uncles and other family (They're from  spaniard descent) I like my families way with names.

Intention

My new year resolution is to work harder to do things I have to right now so I can do what I want later. Like schoolwork; I wanna do my best to focus on getting work done in class and worry most about my education. I would want to do this because it'll make life a lot easier and it will benefit me in the future when I want a good paying job or any job in that matter. But in all; I'm going into 2017 with the intentions to focus and put maximum effort into my education.
