The Time I Chased An Ice Cream Truck!!

When I was a child, I was very advernterous and was curios about everything. So I've had lots of cool stories about my childhood. But I'll tell you one for now...

When I was 7, I wanted to know where the ice cream man went after he left my block. Since I was young I didn't understand how things like that worked so I had to find out. I was determined to find out. So, I got ready for this "mission" and waited for him to go get to my house and I bought as chocolate fudge ice cream bar and waited for him to take off. It was a very slow truck so I was able to keep up with it. As it took down the street, I followed, walking along eating my ice cream. But when he turned the corner I sprinted and he had seemed to disappear behind the next row of houses. I still heard his music so the search wasn't over. I had raced to the second floor of my house and looked out my window to realize that he goes from block to block serving all the kids in the neighborhood.

BLOGGING; According To Me

Blogging to me isn't hard, but it isn't the best. It can be stressful sometimes... So, I am going to blog about how I blog. Maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

To get started, lets talk about a must. Blogging often! It doesn't always have to be the longest blog or the best, it just has to be interesting and should be on a topic people are interested or something you are passionate about. You really shouldn't lie in your blogs because it isn't really a blog if its a lie. That's called a story. But back to the point, blogging often! You shouldn't slack on your blog because lots of reasons. It keeps your readers hyped for the next post or update and, it just makes you seem like you're into what you do. But try not to over blog... Over blogging is when you make a bunch of posts in a day. Its never a bad thing to like writing or sharing on your blog but if you post too much it'll seem like you don't have any extracurricular activities. Which isn't the best thing to be assumed.

The second is also a major, but not as important. You should always be ready to give and receive feed back from readers. I myself need to work on this one, but yeah, feed back is a very cool trait to blogging. That's pretty much what blogging is, I mean , without it you'd just be writing to yourself. Let's talk about sending feedback! I should work on this too, but feed back lets your partner or people who read your blog know that you're acknowledging them and aware that they are reading. Recieving feed back is always nice, but sometimes can catch you off guard or maybe even surprise you. So you should always be prepared to answer questions or maybe even realize that the readers like what you're posting about.

The book I almost never read?

Over the summer I read the book, Abraham Lincolns Grave Robbers. It was a very interesting book about a group of counterfeiters that tried to rob the tomb of a dead president. I don't wanna spoil it because it's so interesting so, I'll make it short. The people had the plan to dip a tunnnel and rob whatever they can find of value, but when they got there, it wasn't what they expected. After a failed job they regrouped and made another plan. But the fbi was getting suspicious of the group which led to an investigation of them. Now with the government after them, they had to work quickly. The plan wasn't the best because the fbi had arrested the ring leader because they caught him and after the leader was arrested, the group started to fall apart which led to a failed plan. In the end, the workers at the government found a tip of the burglary a day late and hurried to the tomb of Abraham Lincoln. To his joy, the tomb was still in tact and the president was still at rest. In all, it was a very interestring story. I really wouldn't prefer it to anyone because it is a really slow paced book with little action or conflict. But if you want to read it, it wasn't the worst.

The time I was abandoned in a foreign country?!?!

When I was 11, my family decided to take a trip to Mexico, Guatemala. It was quite a trip where my family had seen very beautiful landscapes and historical monuments on our drive. We had seen vast, open lands that your never see in a city like mine. It was like a whole other world of curiosity beyond what I had been raised in. I've been to other places before, but never to one almost like Mexico! The McDonald's in Mexico are pure sourcery. I mean, literally. I usually can never have what I want quickly but this was the span of about thirty seconds as if they already knew what I wanted. But that was just our way there.

Upon getting to Guatemala, there was a festival. It was a very large crowd and my family knew what storm what was to come when we got out of the car and joined the fiesta. The night went by swift and peacefully but something unexpected happened. All of my friends and family in Mexico had started a huge dance type of thing. I don't completely remember the name, but we would dance with a partner and after every pace or so we'd switch partners. I know it sounds really weird, but my family and ethnicity believes that pretty much all of our people are close friends,  even if we don't know them. I come from a really friendly believing environment that everyone seems to know each other in.

Back to the story, after about twenty minutes of dancing I was with someone I didn't recognize but its just pure respect to treat them like family so I didn't think anything of it until I realized my family was no where to be found and I had to stay at the party hoping I would see a familiar face in a crowd. After about fifteen minutes of looking, I seen my grandma eating a tamale and sipping coke like she hadn't even realized I was missing.

But yeah, that was the time I had gotten lost in a country that I wasn't familiar with at the time. I hope you liked it because it took a while to write :)

Archemedes

The book I read over the weekend is called Archemedes by Heather Hasan. The book is about the Greek philosopher Archemedes who is know as "The father of mathematics " he was one of the smartest minds of the early milenia. People knew he was smart, but they didn't have a clue of to what significance to the future of education and society. He was very talented at many things but mostly had a heart for literature, science, and mathematics. I really liked this book because it was very well written and educational. Plus i thought it'll be really cool learning about a part of mathematic history and how far it has come since then. I really prefer this book for people to read because it was in all, entertaining.

About me

My name is Ernie and I like it to do lots of things. But a few are reading, writing, playing basketball, and football. I also like running on my free time. I'm really good at running but I have lots to do and usually have very small amounts of free time because I'm always working on something. It's not always the most important things, but I always have something to do. Like writing, sometimes I just write random things. I have always wanted to be in something related to music in my future and my family thinks it'll be perfect for me as I always play the drums and guitar. My family didn't agree at first but now that I've become good at writing and playing music they have been the most supportive as they can. My family has very high standards and always expect me to be the best I can possibly be. I'm about 5'6 and I am usually a good student but sometimes we all get frustrated. My favorite animal is a sloth and I like French fries.

In 10 years post

In 10 years I hope to be in the music business, with a big house and I cool car. I know that's pretty cliche but there's no other way to put it. I love making and producing music and I've become very good at it.

I have many goals like sports, skating, school, and other things. I want to help people get the chances they usually wouldn't get on their own. I've always wanted a nice home all to myself. I'm not sure about marriage because it all seems like an ordeal. Plus, my family doesn't have the best view on marriage. But again, I mainly want to help make people's futures better and have a successful career.
